FRASER ISLAND WILDERNESS

Fraser Island is the ideal environment for combining a brainstorming session with nature-based activities.

We think one of the secrets to a successful meeting is providing a balance within schedules to power though agenda items and take in the best of the World-Heritage listed surrounds.

In addition to its iconic landscapes, the island's diverse range of fauna roam in abundance - although they can be a rare sight to see, blending harmoniously with the vast beaches and dense bushland, Kingfisher Bay Resort’s dedicated Ranger team and tour guides are experts in spotting fauna.

Your delegates might even tick a sighting of Fraser Island's purebred dingoes off their bucket list.

Plus, every August through October Humpback Whales begin their migration south after breeding in the Whitsunday waters - and stop to play in the warm waters of Hervey Bay - one of only two places in the world where they do this and holds the title of the world’s first Whale Heritage Site. Cruises depart the resort daily from Kingfisher Bay Resort to Platypus Bay, where pods a commonly spotted.

These gentle giants are curious creatures and will often come up to the whale watch boats for a spot of people watching - an optional activity of swimming with whales can add to your Fraser Island experience!
